Your son/daughter has chosen to take Art as an A Level option. As this is a practical course they are required to have access to Art materials outside of school and to use during their self-study periods. They will also be expected to keep a sketchbook, which will contain homework, self-generated artwork and research for work being undertaken at school. Below is a kit list of the items your son/daughter will require to purchase over the summer ready to start their A Level Art Course in September.
Students will need:
A Pack of 24 Oil Pastels
A Rubber
Colouring Pencils
A Set of B Graded Pencils
A Glue Stick
A Pencil Sharpener
A Pack of Soft Pastels
A tray of Watercolours (with brush)
Black Fineliner Pens
2 (one for each unit) A3 Hardback Sketchbooks – 140gsm Grade Cartridge Paper
An A1 Heavy Duty Plastic Portfolio
Acrylic Paints
Acrylic Paintbrushes (size 10, 14 and 18)
We also recommend that students source and purchase a lockable toolbox to keep their materials safely in their studio space.
