Physical Education
We pride ourselves on being experienced, well qualified and committed to giving our students broad and balanced curricular and extra-curricular opportunities. We look to run trips in a range of activities to allow our students to gain further opportunities and experiences which we are unable to carry out during lesson time for example surfing lessons and surfing lessons.
We have a floodlit AstroTurf pitch, extensive playing fields, gymnasium, sports hall, and use of four floodlit tennis courts. Parklands Leisure Centre is attached to our school buildings and provides us with a second sports hall.
Our site is adjacent to Dartmoor National Park enabling us to take pupils onto the moor as one of their cross-country courses.

Extra-Curricular Sport
Sport plays a very important part in life at our school. We have many successful teams as well as a number of students currently playing at county and national level. Sports Leaders from all year groups help to run sports festivals and competitions for our local primary school children.
Clubs are held throughout the year, and on every day of the week at either lunch time or after school. Please be aware that college clubs do not charge money. Late buses run on a Tuesday and Wednesday, but please be aware that we continue to run after school clubs and fixtures on Thursday after school also.
Students may be selected to represent school teams on fixtures if they have been attending a club. Students will be provided with a letter to take home in this event with details of timings and location. Please be aware there is also a tab for this on the school website.
