There are many things to consider when choosing your options at Post-16. Take into account the following points when deciding:
If you have a long-term career in mind check if it requires certain subjects to be studied.
Take courses that you think you will enjoy.
Look carefully at the entry requirements set out in the prospectus to ensure that you will cope with the demands of the course.
If you are unsure, don’t worry: you will be given the opportunity to discuss your choices with a member of the Post-16 Staff.
Okehampton College Year 11 students will be asked to complete an initial expression of interest form (online) in October, which they will update in January. This will support us in refining our offer and blocking our viable courses. The application process will then start officially in March with welcome/information evenings planned for April/May. External applicants are asked to complete the online form linked below as an expression of interest. Once your details have been shared, we will send out letters and links to the same events as internal candidates. The complete application process is covered in the Prospectus.
