Letter 1 - Tutor supportThe Tutor will meet with the tutee during a mentoring session. They will complete an Assess-Plan-Do-Review document. This will guide the student in reflecting and establish an understanding linked to their falling attendance. This will be shared with parents via email. This will be reviewed after 3 weeks and successes/further challenges shared. The letter you receive will explain what this support looks like and provide you with an email address to contact the tutor for further discussion.
Letter 2 - Head of Year supportIf a student has already received a letter 1 and their attendance has got worse or not improved, we would refer back to the original Assess-Plan-Do-Review document and involve the Head of Yr 12 (Mr Harris) or Yr 13 (Mrs Searle) in arranging a further meeting with the pupil. If a new plan was needed, this would be created and shared with you as parents. If this was just renewed, again we would contact you. In the letter sent out, the email addresses of the Head of Year will also be included to support further discussion.
Letter 3 - Head of Post 16 supportIf following this second letter and meeting, the circumstances have remained, we would invite you, as parents, in to meet with the Head of Post 16 (Mr Biddle) (or via Teams if this was easier) to discuss the best way forward.
