Okehampton College PTFA

WE NEED YOU....

If you’re reading this then you have a connection with Okehampton College; either a child, a grandchild, family member or child that you care for attends the college and we need your help.
We are looking for a handful of people that are passionate about improving the opportunities for students by actively raising funds as part of Okehampton College PTFA.

We currently have a few members but our Chair and Secretary are standing down and we need some new people who have the drive, imagination, fresh ideas and skills to organise our fundraising and also look into making the move to more online fundraising opportunities!

Is there a group of parents /carers out there that could get together and take on the challenge of supporting our students in this way?  Could you take on the Chair position or do you fancy being our Secretary?

Being on the committee is a team effort and we generally have lots of fun and we meet roughly every 3 months and usually in the pub, although with covid restrictions we have been meeting online with a cuppa tea and some chocolate!

This is a great opportunity for a new group of people to take on the PTFA and it would be a real shame to see the PTFA fold after all the efforts that have gone before through other parents and carers involvement.

Without the PTFA many things wouldn’t be able to happen and our students wouldn’t have access to extra curricular activities or resources that enhance their time here at Okehampton College.
To continue raising these vital funds we need you!
If you are interested in this opportunity or have a group of friends that would like to get together and take on the PTFA we would love to hear from you!

Please contact okehamptoncollegeptfa@yahoo.com or fill out the form at the bottom of the page.
New members welcome, lots of fundraising ideas are needed.  Don't forget to "Like" the Okehampton College PTFA Facebook page too.
Here at Okehampton College we have a very successful small PTFA. We raise funds to help enrich the college students learning experience.

Unfortunately for such a large college we have a tiny number of teachers and parents on our committee.  We only meet maybe 6 times a year. We have two annual events and one biannual event so there's not too much to commit too.

This is an informative meeting where you can see what the PTFA do and maybe register your name and number to help occasionally. We would love to see some new faces and particularly would love to meet some of the new parents just joining Okehampton College with children starting Year 7. We welcome new ideas and are a very friendly bunch. If you would like to register your interest but can't make the meeting please feel free to email us at - okehamptoncollegeptfa@yahoo.com
Everyone is welcome at our fundraising events!
