The college has a comprehensive programme to support students who are applying to university. This is built around Extended Learning Day workshops on issues such as choosing a course, student life, personal statement writing and student finance. We have a team of very experienced tutors who will guide their tutees through the process, proof-read their application forms and write a detailed reference. In addition students are able to:
Attend regular drop-in sessions for help with their applications
Work alongside Exeter University who provide their student ambassadors to help give up to date advice
Have a mock interview before they attend actual university interviews
Be kept up to date with summer school opportunities, open days and UCAS guidance
We also have in depth support for those ‘early entry’ students who are applying to Oxford and Cambridge or for courses such as medicine or veterinary sciences. The best source of information for anyone either applying or thinking of applying is the UCAS website:
We are extremely proud of our record of students gaining university places. Last year all of our students who applied gained a place at University. For further information please contact Ms Searle who is the college UCAS Coordinator: jsearle@dmatschools.org.uk
