Welcome to Post-16
Okehampton Post-16 is a vibrant and dynamic learning community that aims to provide a supportive and inspiring environment for students to thrive academically and personally. We offer a wide range of subjects, including traditional academic subjects, vocational courses, and enrichment activities, allowing students to tailor their education to their interests and goals.
At our Post-16, we prioritise academic excellence and offer a rigorous curriculum that prepares students for further education, employment, and life beyond school. Our dedicated team of teachers are experts in their fields and are committed to helping students achieve their full potential. We provide personalised support and guidance to ensure that every student receives the necessary assistance to succeed.
In addition to academic studies, our Post-16 program also focuses on developing key skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and leadership. Our aim is to offer a wide range of extracurricular activities, clubs, trips and visits to encourage students to explore their interests and develop their talents outside the classroom. We are committed to using a universal destinations platform called Unifrog.
Unifrog helps students with the whole progression process - from exploring their interests, to recording the great things they've done, to finding education and training opportunities, to drafting their applications. Unifrog also helps teachers and mentors to manage the process - from delivering engaging lessons using off-the-shelf teaching resources, to tracking careers interactions, to drafting References, to submitting applications.
We understand the importance of preparing students for the challenges of the modern world. Our Post-16 program includes career guidance, work experience opportunities, and partnerships with local businesses and industry experts. We aim to equip our students with the skills and knowledge they need to excel in their chosen careers and make a positive impact in society.
